I've got this private theory that the goth look is suffering bc 1.) the staples people used to thrift back in the day have been out of style for so long that not many are in circulation 2.) people are poor and 3.) fast fashion has overwhelmed the market with cheap disposable clothing that necessarily doesn't have the little details and flare that really sell the goth look.
very true, i actually like the capsule as a base wardrobe that you then acquire more pricey but quality statement pieces that go with the base wardrobe and provide that "goth" flair
