I did not know that Tove Jansson, creator of the Moomins, made some illustrations based on LOTR. After Tolkien saw her rendition of Gollum using his own descriptive language, he edited his work to specify Gollum as "small and slimy".

This is now my ideal version of Gollum. Moomin-ification makes everything better.
