Temporary pacemakers following heart surgeries or attacks are a really good idea, and if this results in an actually functional system that doesn't have the side effects related to a temporary epicardial pacemaker, and works better than a transcutaneous pacemaker, that's gonna be huge for a lot of people. No more lugging around a bigass box, no more fucked up complications when they literally pull a wire out of your chest through your skin... Huge quality of life benefit for recovery.
It's a genuine improvement and one that seemed to go under the radar for a lot of people in terms of news-worthiness.
