Its amazing how Marx had the foresight to denounce Lenin and Mao even though he himself died decades before either of them wrote or did anything.

michael-laugh Mao wasn't even born when Marx died

I have to agree that Marxist-Leninist-Marketing didn't really follow the Marxist principles, but that was mostly due to the internal schisms

The MLM acronym can be confusing but these are the most common ones:
        • Multi-Level Men (very tall)

        • Multi-Loving Men (they're poly)

        • Men Loving Marketing

        • Multi-Lenin Marketing (they sell Lenin memorabilia)

        • Multi-Linen Marketing (they sell bedsheets sets and are locked in a fierce copyright dispute with the above)

        • Marxists Loving Maoists

        • Marxists Loving Marketing

        • Marxist-Leninist Men (weirdly exclusionary term but ok)

This rebranding would bring revolution to the imperial core in a weekend

Unfortunately the rebels would be the worst people you know

If I want to buy Lenin bedsheet sets, do I need to go to a Multi-Lenin Marketer or a Multi-Linen Marketer? Which one has the most authentic socialist sleeping experience?

Probably the Multi-Lenin-Marketer. They do a lot of promotions, if you have a Lenin coat you're willing to part with, they'll give you 50 yards of Lenin linens for it.

Why does this person think it's about "big name" worship? I don't care how Newton would feel about AI development. In the same way, I don't care if Marx would agree with how future things developed. His contribution was a scientific one and others have built on what he observed and documented. If he were still here to observe and document, then he could continue to contribute - great! But he's not. So it doesn't really matter. What matters is accurate and effective development of theory and practice. So, if there's an individual who is contributing a lot soundly, it makes sense to give their work attention. If they are no longer, you don't hang on what you imagine they might have thought about future stuff.

And in the same thread (and i think the same person) also suggested dichotomy between Marx and Engels - Marx good, Engels bad authoritarian. Exactly like usual anarchist who was quoted "On Authority" but never read anything of Marx and Engels.

Hey now I am of the anarchist persuasion but I absolutely do not think this way. Just look at my recent jab at landlords and how libs cry about authoritarianism but would never apply that standard to capitalism.

Please don't mistake anarchism for the worst of our cohorts. I would not call you all genocidal because pol pot was a fuckin asshole.

A lot of mileage is being had this morning from my conversations with these two galaxy-brained anarchists last night 😂

Nothing proves your position is the correct one quite like refusing to look at any challenges to it and simply stating over and over again that your opponents don't know what they are talking about (without actually providing any of the information you claim they lack).
