For circles you could use a set of dividers from a geometry set. That's what i do at work.

idk i really like it! it's so nice that we have a bunch of little art gremlins running around prettying the place up :3
no one can draw circles, except robots and wizards. i use guides and circular objects to trace around. i generally like to put a sun or a moon in my paintings and use a cheater object to do it. it instantly makes it look like i studied with the old masters, when i, in fact, am a complete hack.
also, love the drawing. the 5 o clock shadow is a nice touch.
