I guess I'm thinking about things like writing, creative processes, things that add value to goods through labor but don't necessarily use tangible starting materials.

We could definitely fit that into the same format. Maybe something like:

      1. The birth of an idea, the raw material. I'm trying to think of a better graphic than a cheesy thought bubble, but nothing is coming to mind. Maybe just two people talking to represent the way a new idea emerges from the dialectic process?

      2. The tools to shape that idea, giving it physical form. Pencils, paintbrushes, instruments, etc.

      3. The vehicles we use to disseminate the idea, which gives the idea purpose. Books, the internet, television, newspapers.

      4. A place where ideas can be stored and freely used for the production of new ideas. A library.
