Nice. Did they take this long to colonize and fruit or is this just the latest flush? I tried this last year but I think they ended up getting contaminated with something else.
Usually with logs you don’t get anything for a year, a massive flush year 1 and then it calms down but keeps going for a few years depending on the log size. This is with shiitake . The oysters took 2 years.
We’ll I’m not holding my breath but I guess I will keep an eye on those guys and maybe they’ll come through. Congrats on your harvest anyway.
Luckily shiitakes are very easy to ID so you might even get some out of a contaminated log
