What an awesome read. I've really been struggling to find discourse on imperialism that's more up-to-date than lenin and boy, did this scratch the itch. If federation leads to more stuff like this, I'm here for it
Okay I just gave that article a read and it's really good. It gave the extra-state Chinese left a voice, it treated China as a state that follows the same logic as other states, it explored the implications of that and painted a road towards revolution.
It also explore the ambivalence of class relations in a way a lot of socialists don't. And it did it while acknowledging the gains in living conditions Chinese people have gained under the communist government.
If this was what more communist analysis was, I'd be a communist
