I can access it but don’t see any posts. Could be someone just subscribed and no new posts have been created and then synced over to this instance yet. Or maybe it is because everything there is posted by the same bot.

But it's probably because the admins of lemmy.ml are Marxist-Leninists who also run Lemmygrad, an ML instance. They mostly keep their ML stuff to Lemmygrad, but there's been some controversy about banning people with anti-China views from lemmy.ml
Could be some other reason but that's the main reason people avoid lemmy.ml that I know of.
Ah gotcha, I avoid Lemmygrad due to the politics of it (I'm a lefty who really doesn't like tankies)
