I'm 19 and for a while now I've been taking better care of my skin, slimming dowm, and generally embracing the side of me that likes to present myself in a more androgynous manner. But recently I've been dying to get rid of my body hair. How do I approach this? In specific, I've never been to a waxing salon and I don't know how it even works. please help ._.

Shaving is the easiest but requires the most maintenance. An epilator will probably last the longest and be fairly easy, but it is very painful especially if you have thick hair. Waxing is kinda messy to do at home unless you use strips, kinda painful and time consuming. Wouldn't really recommend a salon unless you got money to burn!

also, warning if you happen to have thick hair that's is also curly and you want to try an epilator. I tried it, even kept with it for like 6 months. I'm still dealing with ingrown hairs and some slight scaring of the folicls nearly a year later.

If your hair is dark I recommend laser hair removal, it's a bit pricey but also will permanently reduce the amount of hair you have. Once on HRT the hair will thin and the laser will be less effective so I recommend doing it early on in transition if you have the cash.
