I'm referring to how Fallout 4 had a hardcore mode that made you drink water and stuff and also disabled saving without sleeping. It crashed way too much for that - for instance you'd walk back after fighting and looting for 2 hours, and as soon as Sanctuary loaded it would instant CTD.
I'm saying the game will likely be very buggy. So if I am able to play a type of game mode that disables saving, I will likely choose that mode, but I will also re-enable saving. Because I want to have the other gameplay effects but I do not want to lose progress due to crashing and other bugs.
Let's just say if there's a hardcore mode I will be installing the quicksaving mod
Quicksaving is a vanilla feature in Bethesda games afaik

Hardcore mode was optional
