i did it because i never wanted to interact with my roommate if at all possible... the more he was home the more i peed in jugs/bottles

eventually he was never home, but by then i was so used to peeing in bottles i just kept doing it. i'd go empty them late at night before going to the store for more beer/pills/whatever.
