Developers can go get fucked. They never build in places that need it, they only ever build awful things with no aesthetic, architectural or, to be frank, livable value, and they are constantly tearing down community buildings in the name of a quick profit. The Preston Market is great for the community, and indeed far better for it than Colesworth ever was.

Fuck the developers, and frankly fuck capitalism and its endless shitfuckery.

I really miss the Preston Markets. I lived in Preston and later Reservoir when I was in Melbourne. I was at the markets multiple times a week.

There's nothing like it in Perth. Don't let them be gentrified, you'll lose the soul of the place if they go upmarket. I wouldn't have a problem with apartments being built on top, but I'd never want to live over them. The noise and 2,000 cars outside my apartment 5 days a week would be horrible.

Melbourne has a bad habit of destroying everything with any culture, then it gets gentrified with annoying douche bags.

I grew up in Brunswick and it was multicultural. It's not anymore. It's been ruined.
