Over half of Israeli men - 61 percent - do not consider forcing sex on an acquaintance as rape, a study conducted by Tel-Hai Academic College recently found. Moreover, 41 percent of Israeli women share that view.

The surveyed individuals included 160 women and 159 men who constitute a representative sample of the population aged 18 to 69.

This is a tiny sample, easily cherry picked (for example by picking people obviously more hardcore religious...). Highly doubt it accurately describes the whole country. Gotta try to find the actual study to see if it looks a bit better than this article...

Given the country's constantly vile behaviour I honestly would not be surprised if the number were higher now.

"The country" is not the people. Israel is home to a multitude of peoples, many of which do not identify with what the government is doing.

Over 90% of Israeli Jews agree with the genocide in Gaza, the only opposition comes from the 20% or so Palestinian population (Israeli Arabs).

Hm OK. I'm not aware of these numbers. My only interactions with Israelis is immigrants and travellers, so I guess I have a strong bias.

Completely, yes. But how many? Plenty of surveys out there asking the Israeli people what they want to do about the Palestine problem.

Note: The original title did not say “Israeli” I edited the post to include it to make it clear. The article does mention “Israeli” and makes it clear who is intended. The title might have been confusing since this is posted in !palestine@lemm.ee. Posts about the hooliganism in Israeli society are relevant to the Palestinian struggle. Specially as more incidents of rape of Palestinians in Israeli prisons are reported.
