    My local library where I grew up was walking distance from several apartment complexes and a couple neighborhoods. There were always kids in there--it was a haven. I walked there a lot myself. I really hope this policy doesn't catch on. Libraries are one of the few public places where you can just exist, for free. Kids with bad home situations will have fewer places to go.
