Idk, most Millenials I know love them, and a good part of that is there isn't really anyone else who had their combination of sound and bonkers goofy sorta nonsense but sorta not lyrics. Short skirt long jacket and the going the distance got tremendous amounts of play over the years. You can probably gauge it's popularity by walking in to a millenial gathering and yelling "she's going the distance" and see who yells "she's going for speed!" Back at you.
they tour, spend time with family. john starts a lot of songs and sometimes doesn’t finish them for 10-15 years. his process is only working on what he wants to work on and moves from song to song a lot. they only put out music when they feel it’s ready and don’t feel pressure to finish something just for the sake of having something to put out.
