        List of things we have tried using nuclear bombs to do:

        Digging lakes, harbors, canals, open-pit mines

        Digging underground mines

        Digging underground storage silos

        Cracking up the earth to allow oil and natural gas to flow to wells

        Extinguishing natural gas fires

        Sealing underwater oil well blowouts.

        Excavating and crushing ore.
