The US response to this should definitely be to sanction all of these countries, leaving them with no choice but to side with only the US and the EU or literally the rest of the world. Definitely that's the best strategy here I'm sure the entire world would want to alienate itself from the rest of its parts just to trade in the currency of a dying empire
