Even if she doesn't, it got her there while the broader brahmin transplants view her only through that. I'm sure all those other brahmin transplants like ramaswamy or usha give some shit to their "heritage".
From what I've seen, diaspora Indians don't really like Kamala. A lot of them don't even see her as Indian and I highly doubt anyone knows her caste. I didn't know it until this post. Those diaspora Indians most likely view her as "black" because that's how she identifies anyways.
Listen critcize her all you want, but all this "sHe BrAhMiN bRo! ahahfdahdhfhasfhdah" shit is pretty fucking weird and low-key racist.
How am I being racist by pointing out how casteism favors these upper caste people to pave their way to power or that the brahmin diaspora is sangh adjacent.
I say this genuinely. It's not clear what you are trying to say.
I'll lay my cards on the table. It is true that casteism conducts to the Indian disapora abroad with no degradation in fervor. Upper caste Indian disapora enjoy a socioeconomic advantage in a country like the US.
But with Kamala there is enough cross cultural exchange to break the casteism angle. I am operating on vibes and limited knowledge. For example her mother pursued her marriage without her parents butting in too much. Kamala herself seems to not acknowledge her Indian heritage (you mocked this word before but I can't think for a better alternative) much, let alone her Brahmin heritage. So in my view she benefits from the socioeconomic status from her parents, but not much of that from being enmeshed in a upper caste disapora community.
There is already enough incentive in the US society to generate BIPOC ghouls. It's not necessary to factor in her Brahmin heritage to justify her path post-hoc.
Where are you getting from that she is a brahmin?

I'm just wondering how much that brahmin heritage means to her. But I think that discussion does not have much value.

I literally said disengage and you say this:
Who's being debatebro about it? Once again, disengage means disengage.
You also said “nice motte and bailey”. Trying to get the last word in invalidates the disengage.

Do you just call every Indian in America a brahmin and use it as an excuse to be racist against them?

Ok let me phrase it in a way you might understand.
CW: Racism
spoiler
"Trust me I'm black I know about this stuff. Once a house n***** always a house n*****!"
^ That's essentially what you are doing and what you sound like.

Cool, whatever you say. I wholeheartedly agree

All three of those mentioned come from Brahmin families. What’s up? Or do you actually not know anything about the caste system
You mean the "Brahmin" mother who married a BLACK GUY who writes about Marxist shit? WTF are you on about?

Apparently that user does. Not gonna lie OP is kinda being mega racist.
How am I being racist towards brahmins? Please enlighten me.
நான் சொன்னது உண்மை தான்
Maybe not racist but you're being a massive asshole for no reason. Go outside.
I assume OP is referring to Kamala's maternal grandfather, P.V. Gopalan?
