Um... what did I learn? Well, the union man, he knows things. Knows everything, likely, but I haven't any leverage. Although I guess i could fight the entire union, seeing as I bested the tall racist in combat, but I don't really want to. Not really that fussed about the murder honestly. Fellah with nice armor and that many scars, sort of expect a violent death in that line of work. Not like anyone innocent was harmed as far as I know. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Definitely missed something important with the body, but I couldn't discerne what and Kim and I were unable to secure a fridge due to a perniciously sturdy mystic dfooore. I like Manana, he's my kind of slacker and it's always good to know a good fixer.
oh, right, I don't think the guy was murdered by hanging. I think he was killed via drugs or summat then strung up very shortly after death.
Starting to sort of figure out stats. Mainly pumping inland empire, empathy, and physical... whatever, the one that lets you punch good. Starting to piece together who I was, which is a mixed bag. Have rejected "harry", waiting for something grander to come along. Kim was pleased that we did the autopsy professionally without me doing anything too bizarre.
Definitely probably haven't hit on the main plot, yet. afaik the dockworkers offed some heavily armored corporate merc and honestly idk why to even bother with this one, seems like an internal matter for the union, not sure what the Militia can even bring to the matter. It's a business matter between the dockworkers and the company. If the company wants weregeld or something that's their problem.
But there's got to be more too it because someone doesn't go on an identity annihilating week long shirtless bender without a damn good reason. Kim fucked off for the day, maybe I should read through my cases and see if there's anything there since I have some time.
Is picking one kind of cop - grounded, wingbat, arrogant, whtatever, generally the way to go? Is there any downside to just saying whatever crazi ass thing seems like it will lead to the most interesting outcome? still haven't really deccided that.
Little bummed I didn't get the boots. I don't remembver every dealing with Evarte or Phrenologyhead last time, I'm like 90% sure I shot the body down and stole the boots but idk if that memory is right and I didn't get much further than that because I was too turbo-depressed to handle the deep emotionally resonant gameplay of being a totally lost soul who at the bottom of the well of wells with no clear way up.
I just haven't seen any larger angle on the killing. Like, I imagine there must be more to it than just "dockworkers kill merc", but I haven't seen anything leading in that direction so idk what to make of it.
No defensive wounds, though. How does someone in that much armor just go quietly? Yeah, you could sit on him, but folks don't just wander around in armor, shit's heavy and uncomfortable. Either they had the job on him and got a lot of real big guys to sit on him, or he wasn't conscious when they strung him up. But then, what, was he driking with them? With his helmet on? idk, very weird. Lots of questions. Lots of questions.
