I tried some weird Baidu translate apk from a sus website, but it only had Chinese to English.

One of my students is Chinese and their English is very minimal.

    Google assistant does live translation on android phones, but only if you haven't "upgraded" to their AI replacement.

    Edit: It's the Google translate app from the Play store then enter the languages and click on "conversation" button at the bottom left.
