What is hostile and pretentious is people who come on to a forum and not reading the rules then demanding someone do work when we're just sharing pictures of what we ate to our friends. We're real people and we don't really want to be made demands of because we shared a picture. Writing a recipe takes time and effort and I don't bother telling people recipes because people then criticize me about not using x y or z ingredient.

The rules doesn't say no discussion or talking to OP about cooking and what they did. When people just write recipe? and we spend lots of time writing one and then never hear from the person again feels like a massive waste of time. Everyone in the community shares this feeling. If you want to participate then be nice and add to the discussion. Look with your eyes and use google to see similar recipes and then ask with something to add rather then just demanding recipes and people doing everything for you.
