Is there anything about this game that is positively unique? Or is it just an Overwatch clone? I haven't even seen a screenshot of it so far.
It's yet another overwatch clone that was thrown together as a cash grab almost a decade too late for the trend
Isn't this one unique in that it wasn't a cash grab and was in development for forever?
It's a $40 game with "live service" elements + microtransactions that (barely) marketed itself like a single player narrative-based game. The microtransactions on a premium product are an unnecessary cash grab, IMO.
Also the characters are bland looking (somewhat diverse, at least).
Every single last one of these has been a cash grab primarily designed to sell loot boxes
The most hilarious part of this is that Sony had so much goddamn faith in this turd that they got it included in the Secret Level anthology show that’s coming to Amazon Prime Video. It’s going to be the most hilariously awkward thing if that episode airs while the game is dead.
And the saddest thing is, there’s tons of IP’s in Sony’s catalog that people would have actually have been excited to see adapted. But no, Sony’s hubris fucked it up.
this overwatch clone is really bad, for uhh reasons, and not because there's pronouns and no white males!!!
omg marvel rivals!!!
Most rational option at this point, throw another 20 million on it and revamp the systems and marketing.
Although the actual smart reaction would be stop putting all $200 million eggs in one basket and once a new IP takes off from your multiple smaller projects (bets), THEN make a sequel that costs more.
All I know about this game is that the crowd is saying it's bad because woke
