I don’t mean to spam but I had to share one of the comments:

Lubomyr Luciuk is an academic notorious for his vehement defence of Ukrainian Nazis and Nazi collaborators, he even spoke out against the outrage over Hunka (a Ukrainian Nazi collaborator) getting a standing ovation in parliament. It’s no surprise that he’s in the comments running defence for these monsters but it is also so embarrassing. Apparently he’s also known as “Dr. No” due to his treatment of refugees, so there’s that.

I wouldn’t think it wrong to call him a Nazi sympathizer…

"Victim" to is a word, tbh. Liberals don't fall for it, they conveniently and consciously sweep it under the rug (just like anything else inconvenient in their history or present).

It's no different from how they will always be the ones to (once again, knowingly) pass the baton over to fascism. That is, if they don't go mask-off and act openly as the fascists themselves.

Large numbers of soldiers from a Ukrainian Waffen SS division fled to Canada after the war.

Not just talking about regular German soldiers but waffen SS, Impossible for SS soldiers to not be war criminals. At least release the breakdown on what level of Nazi collaborator the "subjects" were. Unless of course they are embarassed by the results.

The main defence I see is that they were stuck between a rock and hard place so they went with the best option. Another argument is that those in the Waffen SS were just kids and didn’t know any better, plus they totally didn’t commit any war crimes! The main idea that’s pushed is that the Soviets were worse than the Nazis, which isn’t true but people here are more than happy to believe it.
