By default I just assume that people with predictable and exhausting cliches are just indoctrinated that thoroughly, and are still people.
The most blatant example of that is how many
glazers, going back at least a decade, will say almost word for word "but humans must become an interplanetary species" to run interference for whatever environmental devastation, resource plundering, or worker abusing skullduggery their savior of humanity was up to today.
