      Media illiteracy self report: these treats I enjoyed had themes that I failed to identify at first glance, then a fellow chud illuminated them so now I hate them.

      It's like if the shadow casters in Plato's allegory of the cave got tackled and the people trapped inside the cave learned that they're being suspended in an illusion of reality, but now the people in the cave are mad because the old shadows aren't convincing anymore and they want shinier shadows to keep them entertained.
