did anyone else play that horribly localized and buggy af F2P MMO "Age of Wushu"? a friend of mine and i played it for a few years like a decade ago, because it ran on my shitty laptop and it let us be turds in pvp. that was sort of my thing for a while with online gaming. being hostile to everyone/RPK and being just an aggressive person. which was easy in that game, because somehow they had everyone convinced that being a total masterful and highly cultured sifu, clothed in the finest silks with ornate hair was totally worth dumping money and time into. so finding shitty rags, looking busted as hell, joining only the most evil and hated schools, and figuring out cheap moves to gank some sophisticated, honorable lordling in a back alley and then evading their furious retribution was very doable as a free player. don't get me wrong, the game was a massive piece of garbage and borderline unplayable with how buggy and incomprehensible it was. we used to joke that it was an MMO game within a kafkaesque puzzle game. also, i got my ass kicked a lot by very powerful characters, but it's a video game so who cares.... and it's the kind of thing that will make you amazing at being a slippery piece of crap.

anyway, i remember us discovering that there was a secret evil in-game school of nefarious court eunuchs a player could join if we castrated our characters. the process was too complicated to figure out with the poor localization and i think it would cost a few bucks of IRL dough, but we really thought about it because it seemed like the type of thing that would only further enrage a certain type of loser. not that any of this is related exactly, but sometimes i remember that game and laugh about how different/strange it was compared to other games ive played.

I'm not normally into pvp but I have a grudging respect for people wrecking whales with low tier stuff.
