If you truely wanted to preserve consciousness, you would work on saving Earth instead of fucking off to Mars.

Not only is Earth our native biome that we have much better chances of existing comfortably on, it's not yet dead and therefore it's easier to preserve a living planet than to try and live on a dead one. Imagine if he used that many to get laws enacted that would help Earth, instead of using his power to fuck regulations and speed up it's death.

I really hope him and his rich buddies actually launch themselves to Mars though. Him and his cronies dying slowly of exposure and malnutrition is the least they deserve for their part in dooming the only cradle of life and consciousness we know of, Earth.
