"I just think we need to kill them, every one of them, and that's it. and if not that because the country won't let that happen, the government, just at least, the least we can do is just kick them out of our land. because this is our home, this is our land, and we deserve it."

Not to defend the "United Citizen Federation" or their imperial expansion onto "Bug" claimed planets, but I can sympathize with Rico's anger. His parents were killed while he was talking to them, I would probably have some issues with the "bugs" if I were in his shoes. His hatred is understandable, but misplaced. We know that the UCF are the bad guys, we know that Rico is a pawn in a fascist regime, but regardless I think most people can understand why Rico feels the hate he does even if we know that he is unequivocally the baddie in this situation. We can sympathize with him, without condoning his actions.
But this woman? I am unable to find it within myself to sympathize with her. I cannot understand her hatred, the evil in her heart. She does not hate because she has been hurt. She hates simply because she has been taught to hate.
