There's probably a very simple solution for this but to bump the post I have one of my insane DIY ideas:
Install the blinds you ordered upside down at the bottom of the window
Attach a hook (bent paperclip) to the "bottom" of the blinds using tape/piercing the material itself and threading it through
Attach some string horizontally across the window at the point you want the blinds to roll up to, accounting for how large the hook is. Using wads of sticky tack or nails depending on how much of a pathetic fucker your landlord is with regards to "muh property damage".
Then, you can unroll the blinds from below and hook them on the string.

This "design" makes a few major assumptions, such as that the blinds do not have a locking mechanism where they need the power of gravity to roll out (just imagining worst case scenarios, ive never taken apart blinds before and i doubt they would)
Also assumes you have string/nails/tape on hand, what materials have you got?
