There are no windows and all the equipment is from the 90s but it's all sturdy so it doesn't matter. I am excited because it's cheaper than PF, closer to my house, and also has boxing lessons. Wop wop wop wop.

Gotta convert all my dumbbell weights to barbell now tho.

wondering if there's a dive bar somewhere called "The Gym" which has a set of bells on the bar you can pick up so you can tell your partner you're at The Gym lifting bar bells

That's up there with making a bottom shelf blended whisky called "Spouse and Kids"

"Hey, sorry, I can't come to the meeting, I have to spend time at home with the Spouse and Kids™"

"Did you just say "™" really quietly at the end there?"

      "...no."

I haven't done much (anything other than a landmine press) with barbells, but isn't it just slightly higher than what the added dumbbell weight would be, with the gain coming from easier stabilization?

Yeah lol. I'm still shrimpy but did 5 lbs more than I planned to on the bench press. Progression is easier since the dumbbells jumped 5 lb each which doesn't make a lot of sense.

It would be really expensive to jump dumbells by smaller increments though. For me at least once I got past 10-15lbs the 5lb jumps felt ok but for flys and similar it is rough.
