  • deep cut, up to date One Piece spoilers

You know how Lucci has his philosophy of 'dark justice'? Like he gets far because his superiors are informed by the demands of the gorosei. The gorosei and Imu have proven themselves to be ruthless and calculating - often resorting to calling people insects who need to be corralled. They have no qualms exterminating entire islands for wrongthink. The point being that marines are serving these goals and must present themselves as being harsh and awful because those that they serve have a philosophy of being harsh and awful.

When I look at this picture, it's like you can feel the pandering to the IRL gorosei. You can sense that there's a bunch of tenryuubito with their bubble helmets on that are just shocked about how such a thing could have happened. They need to be placated by this absolute clown parade concerning a 20-something IT guy with back problems in handcuffs. Does a third cop make anyone more safe? The only other thing that it can possibly communicate is that they're afraid of a mob harassing them. More saliently this is a pornographic display of just how safe and how protected the smol bean rich people are. They simply cannot be seen without a person in full combat gear with an automatic rifle leading the way.

  • I've been researching my results from the RAADS-R autism test. Turns out I got fucking brought to task regarding social relatedness. In particular I got grilled about emotionally reading other people.

"I understand when friends need to be comforted."

"I cannot tell if someone is interested or bored with what I am saying."

"I can tell when someone says one thing but means something else."

Can I read a book about that sort of thing?

  • I like to think of life as a 6.5/10 rated rail shooter with rougelike elements. Like clearly the gameplay loop needs work so I wouldn't care that much about anything that's not the other people doing multiplayer.

When you're able to choose, you should always err towards doing something and the something you choose should be what's immediately exciting to you. You should set aside time and energy for people who share your values because 99/100 of them are autobattling through their encounter with you. I wouldn't get too emotionally invested in the rougelike elements. Unless you're following a guide you're probably going to frustrate yourself trying to go infinite; you're likely choosing between a 10% boost and a 9.7% boost. And ultimately, I'd err towards dedicating myself to something as opposed to floating around even when it gets tough.
