    Why do I keep hearing that trade unions are banned in China? The unions have guaranteed seats in the National People's Congress and they're somehow banned?

      Maybe they banned a specific trade union (like an AFL-CIA Affiliated one) and that's been bumped up to "ban all trade unions"? Idk why I'm speculating

        Honestly, at this point the western media doesn't even bother to find a grain of truth to surround with their bullshit. Wouldn't surprise me if they made this one up whole-cloth assuming their loyal readers wouldn't ever check it.
