Some fire from Black Hippy before the TDE artists kind of mostly pursued solo projects and careers. I remember finding this right before M.A.A.D City dropped and was fkn obsessed watching the rise of Q and Kendrick and Ab's work etc.\
Totally worth looking up other Black Hippy Crew shit from back then, they have some funny impromptu cypher circle videos with like Q just being so blasted out of his mind that he's just mumbling along, then KDot just dropping pure heat, etc. It was a beautiful little moment in time for me as an online music enjoyer.\

Same. There's such a flow and vibe to how they hand off to each other that it feels like dudes who have been honing their art AND being homies for years just going "fuck it lets do something fun."
There's a little bit happening, I think, with w/e this new "rap renaissance" movement is, with Ransom and 38 Spesh and everyone else the rap enjoyers mention in the same sentence. But I dunno maybe that's more just collab type stuff.
