I’m currently in a tough financial situation and looking for an affordable car. I’ve come across a 2003 Honda Accord, and while it seems like a decent option within my budget, I’ve heard about potential transmission problems and other issues. Would this car be a reliable choice, or could the repair costs end up being more than I can handle? I’d appreciate any advice or experiences from current or past owners.

Great car as long as there isn't rust. Rust is the number 1 killer of cars. If it didn't live in the rust belt, everything is repairable.

Get it checked out by an independent mechanic to make sure it doesn't current have some major repair needed.

I’m no car expert but generally speaking, yes. Just have to check out this particular car’s history

I drive an 01 Honda. I am the second owner, had it for 15 years. it has been the most reliable vehicle. that generation of Hondas are brilliant if you keep the typical maintenance schedule for oil changes and are gentle with it, etc.

that car has saved me so much goddamn money in car brained ass America.
