Had some California rolls and fish nigiri for lunch and so good. It's a shame this food is bougie and expensive. It's not bad for you and it fills you right up.
Wonder if it's so expensive though since I'm in a landlocked state that imports seafood.
Regardless, I really should get more fish into my diet.
Sushi definitely doesn't have to be expensive especially if you make it yourself and especially if you do it vegan. Veggies wrapped in rice and seaweed is delicious AF and you can make a lot for a little. It's kinda time consuming but nothing in sushi is particularly expensive except the fish. And if you do eat fish you can use canned tuna it works fine, or you can find a local market that sells sushi fish (which is just any fish that's properly flash frozen). That's a bit more expensive but again you don't really need much of it. Most of the sushi is th rice which is cheap
Vegan gang stays winning yet again. Thanks for the info.
If you do want to make sushi, try to find sushi rice and also look at a recipe. You can't really use long grain normal rice...short grain works better, and sushi rice usually is cooked in vinegar to give it more flavor. It's not complicated though.
Making at home california rolls sounds right up my alley.
