Hi all. MissPosadas is back and I'm asking for mutual aid to help out a comrade. She is stuck in Florida and on the edge of homelessness.

We have plans to move her and another friend out of Florida, but unfortunately we are about 5 months out from that.

In the meantime she needs good shelter (the place she's at now kicks her out during daylight hours), a job and money to get out of some debt. She is also working to fix a vehicle so she can maybe move out sooner than our April timeline, currently it seems to needs a replacement alternator.

Any help is appreciated, especially if you are in Jacksonville and could spare a bed for a few months.

Please DM me, and I can show proof of her need.

Again, I want to stress really hard that this is not for me, but to help out a vulnerable trans comrade.

Does the car run at all? Paying to have the repair done is going to suck but the actual material requirements are only a little over 100$ or so. If she's able to look it up on YouTube and go to an AutoZone, it's a day or two of work and the auto stores let you borrow tools if you're working in their lot

To my understanding, she is capable of doing the repairs herself, but she doesn't have the $100 to buy the replacement. It also might not be the last repair needed.

I would pay myself, but due to missing a month of rent I've been playing catch up, and I myself have been sitting on a negative bank account since last week. I won't be caught up on all my bills and debt until January, maybe February.

After that I plan to save some cash and will fly to her and then rent a Uhaul to trek back in, but again, that has a timeline of sometime in April.

very much depends on the store. our Advance doesn't have many tools for store use, and the manager is intensely paranoid about shoplifters.

I'm also just replying again. I know stating money amount needed is generally against the rules, but the alternator is $300 at AutoZone. They don't have to pay anyone else anything for the installation, but they also need to register the vehicle and get it a plate, which IDK how much that is.

I am also going to self bump a bit and see if I can raise enough over the next month or two to get her car street ready.
