No, i think they compliment the rest of the shoe well. Colored laces tend to throw off the flow of a fit by pulling too much attention downwards. If that's what you're going for it's a cool effect, but having it by default feels too strong.

I personally love the creamy white-olive green combo. But if I wanted something more flashy, I would probably go with burgundy coloured ones.

Ooh yes that would slap. What do you think about like an autumn-ish leaf orange though? I don’t personally do a lot of bright colors

Mmm yeah I looked at stuff like “burnt orange” and it’s just reminiscent of diarrhea lol brighter is the way to go

      Maybe a pastel orange

i'm not big on bright colors either, but shoelaces are an easy exception for me personally — it's just a little accent which makes it less overwhelming. And I bet it'll be counterbalanced by the heavy neutrals in your shoes

Depends on the quantity and the context. Shoelaces are at most a couple cm^2 spread across a ~20cm^2 area, in the context of the entire surface area of a person. They're also a bit out of the way.

Yeah plus I generally wear dark neutral pants. Navy, black, grey, should all match well.

I had a pair of new balance sneakers like that I literally ran into the ground the sole came off so I was forced to duct tape it back together.

I did the same thing (not with this particular kind, but with sneakers from NB) and then I eventually went to try to buy an identical pair and it turned out they didn't make that particular model anymore. Which sucks, those were the best fitting shoes I ever owned.

And on topic I wouldn't change the lace color, I think they look good as-is.
