As someone who's in the dark alternative scene, it's disappointing that while the aesthetics are very popular nowadays - the music isn't.
for sure, i think the music is more important than the fashion. dark and alternate describes 90% of what i listen to even though it doesn't necessarily belong to the goth scene. if i had to give up either my wardrobe or my record collection I'd say bye bye clothes in an instant
