    If grimace is supposed to be a purple chicken nugget then I would assume he would be a homunculus made from chicken meat

      Exactly, and he creates more of his kind by grinding up things into meat-homunculi. Doesn't have to be chicken, these days he mostly gets by with human children that get lost in the ball pit.
