Requesting this to post, compile, and find clothing, shoes, objects and alternatives to things, etc. that are vegan as well as plastic free. A focus on affordability will be included, but obviously thats a hard ask in this shit world. This is something I'm researching a lot on and want some place that isnt on reddit to discuss it with people. Plastic free clothing and furnishings can help people that have skin allergy issues, immune issues, and help reduce microplastic ingestion (which is proven to be harmful)
Plus, plastic-free clothing is way more sustainable. Nearly nobody has access to the sort of equipment required to manufacture that sort of thing.
I think learning how to make one's own clothing is important.
I wish I knew how to make shoes in a sustainable way, that didn't depend on animal skins. If anyone knows about any DIY vegan shoe instructions, please reply with links.
So you can purchase 'mushroom leather' prior to them injecting plastic in it for moccasins, but I actually have no clue how good the material is for that use case in its raw state. Most companies laminate it with plastic to give it better durability, but you'd have to inquire about the raw materials to see if they do this prior to you receiving the sheet.

Here's an example of one you can preorder. Hemp canvas can also be used for shoes, and so can natural rubber (its not made out of plastic, in fact a lot of no plastic options are now using natural rubber)
