    What could've bloody been... especially with Iraq and Syria (both were Baathist but I'm not complaining if Nasserist Egypt joined along too)

    Actually, Algeria, Libya, South Yemen too as well, as some sort of Union of Arab Socialist Republics...

      An Arab Soviet Union-esque state would have been quite interesting. The US and Europe has worked a lot to stop the Middle East, Africa, Asia and South Ameria (+ Central America) from uniting into a single organization or state. They know when that happen it will be difficult to interfere with the global south.
