Saw this documentary with an older leftie of the "I grew up in Miraflores but had overlapping social circles with Abimael Guzmán before he went into the cool zone" variety. He thought it was a great summary of the dictatorship, but my understanding is that some of the younger, less academic left in Peru is more skeptical. What do ya'll think?
Outside politics, it's a well-made doc with some cool and very rare footage from old Peruvian movies. So maybe worth watching anyway.
