Time to save up money to get one on release and shove it in a drawer until a CFW comes out
Couple notes:
-
The Joy-Cons have IR sensors on their rails, and the animation shows them sliding around. It's likely that you'll be able to use them as mice
-
There's a new button under the Home button and no one knows what it's for. Every leak showed it had a C on it, but it's deliberately unlabeled here
Please for the love of god don't let it be the equivalent of Sony's Share button. That thing is such a piece of shit.
I don't think Nintendo would put a dedicated social media button on their console after ending support for Twitter, unless they're making their own platform again.

Glad it will be bigger for my hands. But why show Mario Kart, is there a new one coming out?
This is not footage from MK8 Deluxe. Mario and especially DK models are both different (DK has shadows around his eyes, in a classic style that matches the Mario Bros movie), Peach ditched her pony tail, and there are karts shown that are not in MK8 as well. Rosalina is driving what looks like a snowmobile.
The stage is also new. There was no Mario Bros Circuit desert level in MK8.
Im not sure if my sources are 100% correct but it seems there will be a new Mario Kart
Well that will suck, because as soon as they do, the competitive online arena of MK8 Deluxe is going to dry up. That game has provided endless hours of entertainment for me. I hope they allow crossover of the multiplayer between the versions so there's some good competition.
There will continue to be some players until the NSO servers turn off in 3 or 4 years. It won't be like the Wii U where nobody bothers playing.
I’ll wait for the next Zelda to be announced. If that ends up being another BOTW/TOTK I’ll keep waiting on a reason to pick it up
Seems like a fairly well-considered upgrade. Mostly interested in the games though, even though a lot of the people working on their games have been around for decades now, with the Switch it really seemed to me like there was a new wave of creativity and talent involved. Like Tears of the Kingdom is a game with a lot of flaws, but its core is so creative and wonderfully playful that it's just really inspiring. Genuinely can't think of any other company that could make a game like that.
I'll probably pass. At this point id only be getting it for exclusives, of which i only really care for metroid, kart and odyssey 2. 3 games a decade isnt enough to bother with a whole console
Unfortunately, I'm too used to high frame rates to do handheld. I wish it weren't so, I truly do.
They’re more pricey but there are high refresh rate handheld PCs like the Steam deck OLED, or the Lenovo Legion Go S that’s coming out this month. They’re 90Hz and 120Hz respectively
