    Re:how...Psycho is one of my all-time favorite movies and in all the years and all the times I've rewatched it, I've never, ever thought about how that shot was achieved! I'm inclined to agree with @bennyinc@feddit.de

      I heard a rumor years ago, no idea if it's true or not... That Hitch did it by constructing an oversized showerhead and running salt through it rather than water.

      Interesting solution, and you can kind of see it in the still I posted.

      Would love to confirm it.
