I don't really mind arguing with the people on hexbear, their attempt to gang-harass me is pretty pathetic, but I would like to not see any of their posts on my feed anymore as nothing they post is relevant to me. How can I block an entire instance?

HexBear lacks a downvote function. Our only option to show disagreement is to comment, which fosters discussion rather than burying those we disagree with and creating an echo chamber.

While I can agree that we're often more abrasive than we have to be, I can't abide accusations of gang harassment because we comment rather than downvote.

This is more of a support question, related to using Lemmy. Please see the sidebar for a list of communities that offer support. Removing under rule #3.

Criticizing Hexbear with an ableist comment is chefs-kiss

Should have thrown in an ableist slur to give the message a bit more punch

I don't think Lemmy proper has that feature yet, but some apps might.

Other than that you could open an account on an instance more in line with your prefered blocks or use kbin which already allows for instance blocking.
