Hey everyone , so recently I started watching recess again , since its on youtube in my country , I realised that there are literally themes those are left leaning , there are subtle dialogs those are critical of slavery and columbus etc but it does not end there. There are episodes based on

  • Criticizing monopoly and capitalism
  • Episode critical of religion.
  • Student forming unions for their rights.
  • Student defying the authorities for rights of people and themselves. I find it hard to digest that disney , who is not even willing to pay actors and writers has actually produced that show.

There was an episode where the kids made their own currency with like bottle caps or trading cards or something and they set up jobs to earn more and commerce to spend it. The main character realized, however, that he could just be the boss of a bunch of kids, making them do all the work while collecting a percentage of the profit and justify it by being their "manager". Eventually they realized this was silly and that they didn't need a boss telling them what to do. If I remember the episode made it even more obvious because at the end they were literally like "this is terrible, why would we choose to organize a society like this" or something to that effect.

Also, their economy collapsed after the kid hoarded all the wealth, and the kids moved on to a different currency, thus bankrupting the capitalist (T.J.)

And amazon put out "The Boys" which has a ton of critiques against the system. They'll sell our frustrations back to us if we let em.
