I like to read the visual novels community there and it really sucks having to switch accounts instead of using my main account and Lemmy client app. IMO there was no reason to defederate in the first place - the only rule people took issue with was the rule allowing loli content, which isn't actually csam?
Either way, they've since revised the rules and removed the loli exception from the sidebar. Would you be ok with refederating with it again?
Also - nobody actually posted loli content there in the first place even when the rule was there. People also don't seem to have any issues with anime that has loli characters in it, but they have an issue with the instance over this? Kinda absurd IMO.

I'm not explicitly defending it, I just don't consider it csam. (As no actual kids are involved) Simple opinion. Either way, I don't mind them removing the rule allowing it, as I don't particularly care for loli characters anyway. I just want access to the community back.

Well, I do apologize, I checked the sidebar of the main visual novels community, and not the main instance. Oops. I usually don't visit the main instance page as I have no reason to. Anyway, there are talks in the instance meta to remove it, so I guess I'll come back here and ask again if the rules are revised. I'll delete the post for now.
