        I read once, if my memory is not mistaken, that the color scheme Rep -> Red; Dem -> Blue was only really established after the 2000 Election and that site looks old.

        Also, it is more in line of other lib republics in Europe, where red means the Rosa Killers and Blue the right wing of capital
