I don’t mind games being in early access for a long time so much as I dislike that there’s no differentiation between games that are in early development and games that are mostly done.
yea thats my main problem with it. If the game isn't ready after being sold for 8 years, then it actually is ready and the developer should shut the fuck up.
Yeah, or alternatively, if developers want to do open game development for an indefinite period of time, there should be a separate category for that. The early access tag should be for basically an open-beta ahead of a planned release, not a way to get people to pay you for a game that you’re never going to finish.
